I love Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series for the intricate magic system, and I guess I was hoping for something similar. The premise of a main character being able to learn anything in a matter of hours also sounded really cool. Honestly though, I found myself simply unable to get into the book (I've only read the first few chapters) I don't know why. Maybe it's just difficult to sympathize with the crazy main character who spends all his time talking to "himself"? Or maybe it feels weird to have the author spending so much time describing the actions of characters that aren't really there? Perhaps if the book opened with a demonstration of the main character using his "powers" really effectively, I would have bought into it. But as it stands, all I see is a crazy guy.Wish I could recommend this, but I really can't, unless a main character conversing with figments of his own imagination is your cup of tea.

Well written like all of Sanderson's books. Interesting read. Not as spectacular as other works of his.
Great reading and interesting topic on the way a mind can work. To short though. Would Love to dive deeper.
Caught me right off guard that one. Was an awesome read! Fun and smooth as the previous ones, but such depth! Pierced my heart. Thank you to the author)
Almost $30 for a 146 page book. That's expensive. I do believe I paid less for the massive books in the Storm Light Archive.
